Founded by Albert Horgan, Horgan General Contractor, Inc opened for business in 1973. Working side by side with his crew, Al concentrated on building a reputation as a quality general contractor with a strong focus on building not just projects, but long-lasting relationships. At that time most of company’s projects were in residential renovations and additions.

In the 1980’s Albert was contracted to complete his first few commercial tenant improvement projects, and this led to Horgan General Contractor’s Inc. current focus in commercial construction. Albert enjoyed over 25 years of satisfied customers and loyal employees, subcontractors and suppliers.

In 1997, after earning his engineering degree from Drexel University, Doug Horgan joined the family business as Project Manager.

Doug Horgan quickly became an integral part of the firm. In 2000, he assumed responsibility as President of Horgan General Contractor, Inc. He continues to focus on the specialization Al had created, preserving the firm’s emphasis on dedication to customers, excellent service, effective communication and skilled craftsmanship.
